弊社では、創業からこれまでの約10年に渡り、

• 日本企業のASEAN市場進出へのご支援
• 訪日インバウンドに関する事業
• 日本文化の発信に関する取り組み

…など、日本とアジアをつなぐ事業に対し、積極的に取り組んで参りましたが、

シンガポールを初め多くの先進国で、
高齢化問題に関連する医療サービスへの
ニーズが高まっていることから、

昨年より新規事業として
「ヘルスケア」領域に重点を置き、
取り組みを強化しています。

 

とはいえ、ヘルスケアの領域は、以前よりご支援させていただいているプロジェクトを含め、弊社ではすでに数多くの実績があります。

中でも毎年開催されている「International Health & Collaboration（以下、IHCC）」 は、年に一度開催される医療ヘルスケア従事者向けカンファレンスで、弊社が主催する国際的な医療ヘルスケア関連のコミュニティーです。

「IHCC」は今年、新たなテーマを掲げ、11月に開催予定で、すでに様々な国々からパートナーをお迎えすることが決まっています。

 

そこで今回は、

• なぜ弊社がヘルスケア領域への関わりを強化していくのか
• 高齢化社会における医療ヘルスケアを考える国際シンポジウム「IHCC 2020」

この2つの点について、皆様にご紹介させていただきます。

 

Vivid Creations has in recent years started to engage in medical and healthcare related businesses.

In recognising the demand for healthcare and medical services relating to the ageing population in Singapore, our company has placed emphasis on three main themes for 2020, mainly Food, Travel and Medical.

Whilst considered new to the medical theme, our company has had vast experience in medical related jobs, especially so in hosting the annual International Health & Collaboration (IHCC) Symposium and Exhibition. 

 

 

医療業界に参入する理由とは？／ Why venture into the medical industry?

実は現在、シンガポールは急速に高齢化社会に向かっており、10年後の 2030年には、65歳以上のシンガポール人が全体の1/4以上を占めると言われています。

この状況に対し、シンガポール政府と医療専門家は、高齢化社会への対策は必須と考えており、高齢化問題を抱える他国の対策や政策への関心が高まっています。

Currently, Singapore is rapidly moving towards an ageing society. It is estimated that one in four Singaporeans will be aged 65 years and above in 2030.

Evidently, the government has put in place measures to ensure that the nation’s population can flourish with age, placing much emphasis on the eminent aging crisis. In particular, Singapore’s reformed healthcare systems and medical professionals have increasingly become well versed in supporting eldercare.

 

 

一方で、日本は世界で最も高齢化が進む国であり、高齢化社会への対策には長年の知見があります。

しかしこれらの医学的な知識や経験・ノウハウを、諸外国に輸出・共有して、新たなビジネス展開を見据えることはあまりありませんでした。

また、医療業界内においても、関係主体同士が分断されていてコミュニケーションをとる機会がないため「必要なパートナーと繋がれず、物事が展開しにくい」という状況が多々起きていました。

Since knowledge is key for a small nation like Singapore, the industry is always learning from the bigger nations for new advanced solutions.

Japan, on the other hand, has many years of experience in dealing with its ageing society. Over the years, Japanese technology and businesses have evolved tremendously, but much of this knowledge and experiences are not effectively brought overseas.

Moreover, it seems that a lack of communication has been happening among private companies, laboratories, universities and another related communities in medical industry.

 

弊社ではこれまで、日本の様々な産業やサービスと海外市場の「あいだ」に立ち、双方の強みを生かしてどうコラボレーションができるのか、また市場展開ができるのかということを、過去10年間に渡り、ご支援しています。

これらの知見を活かし、医療業界においても、両国の発展に寄与できると確信し、2018年から医療ヘルスケア領域へ積極的に携わっています。

Playing to Vivid Creations’ strengths, we have since been able to connect both nations by working with government ministries, universities and private companies.

With 10 years of know-how, we are able to facilitate this knowledge transfer and business export by the utmost understanding for cultural differences, existing demands, and importantly, specialities that each nation is able to bring to the table.

By connecting these demands and expectations, we can aim further to help transform societies where people can age gracefully and purposefully.

Initially, whilst medical projects revolve around exporting knowledge and technology between Singapore and Japan, we are proud to announce that plans are underway to go international, to involve nations like Finland and China.

Considering how Singapore is growing to be ASEAN’s regional hub, we believe that we can support in the transfer/export of know-how, new technologies and businesses both ways and aspire to help elevate the situation in both countries.

医療ヘルスケア領域の国際シンポジウム「IHCC 2020」とは ／ The International Health & Care Collaboration (IHCC 2020)

弊社が主催している「IHCC（International Health & Care Collaboration）」は、年1回 開催される医療従事者のためのシンポジウム。

日本・シンガポール・フィンランドの3か国で、高齢化対策に向き合う医療関係者が協力し、お互い知識と経験を共有することで、新しいテクノロジーやサービスを作り出し、高齢化社会の課題解決に貢献することを目的としています。

 

弊社は、IHCCを通して、政府機関やヘルスケア関連団体との数多くのネットワークを構築するとともに、現在は教育機関・シンクタンク・経営者・起業家など、更なるネットワークの拡大を図っています。

Starting in 2018, Vivid Creations’ first venture into the medical business began with the Japan Singapore Inter-Professional Conference (Rebranded to IHCC in 2019). The event was in its 5th year running and we took over the role of organizers for the event. 2020 will be the 3rd year that Vivid Creations will play host to IHCC.

What exactly is IHCC? The annual symposium and exhibition bring together medical professionals, management-level individuals from hospitals and governments, and health-tech companies alike, with the aim to discuss and alleviate the ageing crisis via creating a unique platform for knowledge transfer.

Alongside IHCC, Vivid Creations has since broadened much of our network to include governmental bodies from Singapore, Japan and Finland. We have also worked with an array of think tanks, healthcare and educational institutes, opening the doors to wider connections, including medical researchers, management level directors and entrepreneurs around the world. This scope of the network has allowed for much collaborative work.

 

近年は弊社のネットワークを基盤に、様々な新規事業がスタート。

• シンガポールの大学群とACCESS Healthによる日本でのシンポジウムの開催
• 日系ヘルステック企業のシンガポール進出
• 産学官の共同研究プロジェクト

詳細は本ブログではお伝えしきれないのですが、将来的に医療技術とサービスを中心とした多国間での輸出入のサポートを実施するチームとして活躍することを見据え、鋭意取り組みを強化しているところです。

One such example is the collaboration with Singapore Universities and ACCESS Health to co-create Medical event in Japan, a new initiative that has otherwise been formerly active in Singapore and China. In addition, we have been able to link up medical researchers to carry out collaborative study and research work, which would have been undermined by language and cultural barriers. In addition, we have led the sales call for some Japanese HealthTech companies wishing to penetrate the Singaporean market.

In the future, we aim to become the forefront leader in connecting nations and supporting the export of Health technology and services. 

昨年実施された「IHCC 2019」は、「地域共生社会と住民の力」がテーマ。

高齢化社会におけるコミュニティの在り方やプライマリケアについて議論を深めました。

日本からのゲストをお招きして実施した基調講演では、政府や各都道府県が行う高齢化対策をご紹介。

一方で、フィンランドとシンガポールの講演では、自国の高齢化の状況とコミュニティレベル実施している対策が発表され、3か国間での取り組みの違いや実施内容について理解を深めることができました。

また、同会場で実施された展示会では、医療用品や食品に関する商品が数多く紹介され、終日大盛況のうちに幕を閉じました。

This symposium was created in mind to tackle the ageing situation by incorporating insights of health care experts and spurring new intricate discussion and ideas. The sharing platform aims to facilitate information sharing, promote new technologies, services and contribute to tackling the ageing crisis in Singapore, Japan and Finland. 

The 6th edition themed “Social inclusion”, was well received by participants, who were intrigued by some of the healthcare tech and services showcased at the exhibition. Keynote speakers from Japan presented on some interesting initiatives being carried out on a government and local prefectural scale, whilst Finnish and Singaporean speakers shed light on the situation in Finland and the community efforts that are put in place respectively. 

2020年開催のテーマは「高齢化社会における社会的処方」／IHCC 2020’s theme – Social Prescribing

今年の「IHCC 2020」は、11月13日にAcademia （Singapore General Hospital）で開催されます。

テーマは、「社会的処方」。
高齢者を支援することを目的とする「非医療的な行政サービス」がテーマです。

This year, we are proud to present 2020’s theme: “Social Prescribing for Healthy-Ageing”, which will be held at Academia (Singapore General Hospital), on the 13th of November 2020. We have garnered growing support from more organizations such as SingHealth Community Group, as well as advisers from government related ministries like the Japanese and Finnish embassies, as well as partners from medical fields based both in Japan and Singapore. We strive to bring IHCC further, and are highly passionate and excited to work with new and existing partners to elevate IHCC’s scale and value add to all stakeholders. 

 

高齢化が進む現代社会において、多くの高齢者は、加齢による無気力、自尊心の低下、失業、死別、疾患によって、心理的・身体的幸福度が大きく損なわれていると言われています。

また昨今の都市化、移住、核家族の崩壊、不十分な生活空間、ジェネレーションギャップといった社会的影響により、高齢者のコミュニティーへの参加意欲が阻害され、その結果、高齢者が社会的に孤立をするという問題が深刻化しています。

しかしながら、現在の医療ヘルスケアシステムは、患者の疾患に基づく均一的な治療しか行わておらず、個々のケースに寄り添う医療体制やサポートを実施することが大変困難です。

Social Isolation is not just a social issue – its corresponding range of psychological and physical health problems has rendered social isolation as a public health issue. People desire meaningful interpersonal relationships but due to the absence of any useful goal-directed activities, diminished self-esteem, unemployment of widowed states, alongside physical illnesses associated with ageing, have resulted in harsh negative impacts on the mental well-being of the elderly. In addition to the aforementioned reasons, additional social implications from “empty-nesters” can also lead to a sense of loss of purpose for the elderly.

Our current healthcare systems have been targeted and delivered based on addressing patients’ biomedical needs from a clinical perspective, and this has been done both effectively and efficiently to a large extent. However, health is determined by a complex interaction between individual characteristics, lifestyle and physical, social and economic environmental factors.

 

本来健康とは、ライフスタイル、身体的、社会的、経済的、環境的要因等の複雑な相互作用によって決定されます。

「社会的処方」では、医療従事者が一人一人に合わせた非臨床的なサービスを紹介する事により、患者は積極的な社会参加や自立した生活の質の向上によって心身共に健康になり、結果的に通院回数や投薬の削減が期待できます。

そこで「IHCC 2020」では、高齢者の幸福度の向上と、社会的孤立のソリューションとしての「社会的処方」をテーマとする内容を実施することで、参加者が理解を深め、新しい知見やアイデアを得ることができる場を提供します。

Social prescribing, a model of care that holistically bridges both health and social arenas, enables healthcare professionals to address social determinants early in the inpatient healthcare setting, by having healthcare professionals working with link workers to co-produce personalized care plans to improve patients’ health and mental well-being, leading to an improved quality of life, self-confidence, social belonging, and potentially reducing hospital visits and medication prescription. 

「IHCC 2020」が特別な理由は？ ／ Why is 2020’s edition so special?

また、今年開催される「IHCC 2020」は、昨年までとは大きく異なる、特別な点があります。

それは、シンガポール大手病院群のうち、SingHealth Community Hospitalsが、シンガポールへルスケア 2020 マスタープランの基で、2020年秋期頃に設立すると発表した「Outram Community Hospital（OCH）」のオープニングイベントを実施することが決定したのです。

IHCC 2020 will be one of the special edition for all stakeholders and people working for medical industry. SIngHealth Community Hospitals will be officially opening its newest hospital, Outram Community Hospital (OCH), in Q3 2020. OCH plays a key role in supporting our ageing population through its provision of sub-acute, rehabilitative and palliative care. Patients transiting between Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and OCH will benefit from seamless continuity of care, as both hospitals are connected via a link bridge. OCH’s location within the Outram campus benefits from quaternary care from multi-disciplinary teams across SingHealth National Specialty Centres.

OCHは、高齢化が加速するシンガポールにおいて、長期ケアを中心とした最先端の医療サービスを提供する目的で設立されます。

シンガポール総合病院（SGH）との間に連絡通路が設けられるので、患者はスムーズに病院を行き来することができます。

また、SGHの専門チームによるハビリテーションや、緩和ケアを中心とした長期的な治療も実施されるため、高齢化が進むシンガポールで重要な役割を担うことは間違いありません。

そんなOCHのオープニングイベントの１つとして、「IHCC 2020」が開催され、シンポジウム前後の日程でOCHの施設紹介ツアーや認知症に関する特別プログラムが実施される予定です。

当イベントでは、OCHに導入されている最先端の医療装置・サービスを見学することができるだけでなく、OCHの購買担当者が購買プロセスについて説明する特別なセミナーも実施されます！

Together with SingHealth Community Hospitals, IHCC 2020 celebrates the opening of the new OCH. In a bid to focus on ageing with a purpose, IHCC 2020 this year will focus on Social Prescribing. This generic theme will fuel robust discussion from the healthcare and community experts and delegates will have the opportunity to hear the latest ideas and insights in this area at IHCC 2020. IHCC 2020 will also feature a special OCH tour where sponsors can understand the newer facilities put in place to provide quality step-down care and transition from the acute hospital. This includes an exclusive networking session with management heads of SingHealth Community Hospitals. In addition, the Director of Operations will run a special session to explain the procurement process to our sponsors.
